Naoma Lee French, 82, of Harrison, former longtime Leachville resident, passed from this life Friday, July 29, 2016, at her daughter's home in Harrison. Born in Swifton, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Mary Helen Hawley McGraw and was raised in the Arbyrd, Mo., area. She received her Master of Education from Arkansas State University and began her teaching career in the Leachville Public School District. She was an elementary teacher and high school librarian and later retired from the Blytheville School District. Oma was a loving mother and was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Paul Middleton, and her second husband, Thomas Arnold French.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jim Paul and Angela Middleton, of Maumelle; and one daughter and son-in-law, Jackie Weeks and husband John, of Harrison. She also leaves three grandchildren, Nicholas Earl Weeks and wife Sophia, of Elkins, and twin granddaughters, Dr. Jennifer Middleton and Jessica Middleton-Kurylo, Juris Doctorate, and husband Pawel, all of Little Rock.

Graveside funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, in the Leachville Cemetery with burial following under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. The family will receive visitors from 1-1:45 Wednesday at the funeral home.
