BIC beat by Ouachita at State Baseball Tourney

Tuesday, May 17, 2016

The Buffalo Island Central Mustang's trip to south Arkansas for the 2A state baseball tournament last week was short-lived, as they were eliminated in the first round of play. The Mustangs took on the Ouachita Warriors, from 2A Region 5, and fell by a final of 5-2.

The following day the Warriors were eliminated from the bracket by the team from Woodlawn.

The Mustangs had advanced to the state tournament, hosted by Parker's Chapel, with a regional win over Pangburn. The BIC squad then fell to conference mate Riverside in the second round at Marked Tree.

The BIC contest with Ouachita was played at Junction City, located about 30 miles south of Parker's Chapel on the Arkansas-Louisiana border.
