Monette Masons recognized

Monette Masonic Lodge #558 held its annual family fish dinner and awards ceremony Monday, March 21.

Worshipful Master Colin Miller presented Eddie Dunign with the prestigious Pillars of Solomon Award. The award was established by the Grand Lodge of Arkansas to provide recognition to Master Masons for outstanding service to their lodges. Dunigan was recognized for contributing to the success and well being of the Monette lodge and has given service over an extended period of time.

Outstanding community leadership and supporter awards were also presented to Keich-Shauver-Miller Gin Co., and was accepted by Mark Parrish, and also to Monette Co-Op Inc., and accepted by Tommy Carrol.

Miller recognized past Worshipful Masters in attendance, which included Glen Harrell, Tom Carroll, Clyde Watson, Larry Bibb, Eddie Dunigan and David McCoy.

An Outstanding Service Award was presented to David McCoy, who served as Worshipful Master at the Leachville lodge five times and at the Monette lodge during 2014 and 2015.

The Monette Masons meet the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m. at the Monette Lodge.
