Rebel bowlers finish second and fifth in state finals
Riverside rolled a team total 3,823, but fell four pins shy of Norfork to finish runner-up in the 3A-2A-1A boys division of the state bowling tournament Wednesday afternoon at the Jonesboro Bowling Center.
Riverside's Blake Hall posted a 627 series to finish second individually, while teammate Carlos Mata produced a 550 series. Both Rebel bowlers were named All-State.
The Lady Rebels came in fifth in the girls division, led by Delaney George, who finished ninth with a 441 series, good enough for All-State honors.
Bay's Bailey Williams won the girls individual championship, rolling a 537 series to outdistance her closest competition by 42 pins.
