Tommy Wade Spencer, age 74 of Leachville, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at his home. Born in Manila, he was the son of the late Floyd and Janie Heard Spencer and was a lifelong area resident. Tommy attended Leachville High School and worked for many years as an electrician, retiring from Magnetek Universal Manufacturing in Blytheville. He was of the Pentecostal faith and attended the First Assembly of God in Leachville. Tommy loved hunting, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Spencer Lasater; a grandson, Landon Ray Spencer; 3 brothers, Richard Spencer, Jimmy Spencer, and James Floyd Spencer; and a sister, Judy Horn.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Barbara Roberts Spencer of the home; 4 sons, Danny Spencer and his wife Macel of Leachville, Timothy Spencer of Leachville, Don Spencer and his wife Nancy of Leachville, Shawn Spencer and his wife Hidda of Jonesboro; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Chris Jackson of Leachville, Regina and Billy Meacham of Leachville; a brother and sister-in-law, Freddy and Elaine McClain of Leachville; a

sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Johnny Johnson of Memphis. He also leaves 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 27, 2016, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Tom Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Robert Spencer, Bradley Massey, Anthony Herrera, Ruben Palacios, Joshua Elder, and J. D. Shepard. Honorary pallbearers will include Austin Pruitt, Dalton Pruitt, and T. Wade Edwards.
