Second seeded Raiders upend Lions 50-46 in NEA quarterfinals
Nettleton put together a strong second half surge and rallied for a 50-46 come from behind victory over Manila in NEA quarterfinal action Saturday night at the Convocation Center in Jonesboro.
The Lions and Raiders battled to a 9-9 tie after the first period before Manila moved ahead in the second stanza. Back to back triples by Joel Burrow, followed by Bradey Woodall's three pointer, allowed the Lions to take a 22-17 lead into the dressing room at intermission.
The Raiders battled back in the second half behind the strong play of Malik Anderson, outscoring Manila 33-24. Anderson finished the night with 23 points and 12 rebounds.
Woodall scored a game high 28 points to pace Manila while Matthew May also netted double digits with 10 points. Burrow tallied six while Marcos Flores chipped in two points.
