Lions serve pancakes 60+ years

Tuesday, December 8, 2015
Manila Lion Pancakes have been a Christmas tradition for over 60 years.

Manila Lions held their annual pancake supper on Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Manila School cafeteria. They served over 500 people.

The Manila Lions have been serving pancakes once a year for over 60 years.

Proceeds from the pancake supper go to help with the Goodfellow baskets distributed during the holidays.

A good pancake starts with a good mix.

The Lions fill an average of 100 boxes a year with food and toys.

"We appreciate everyone for their support and their understanding," Lion Gary Perkins said. "Sometimes there was a little wait but we want to serve hot pancakes."
