Manila Christmas Parade

Tuesday, December 8, 2015
Santa flew in for the Manila Christmas Parade.

The annual Manila Christmas Parade was held Saturday, Dec. 5, with Manila, Cooter and Gosnell High School bands, Boy Scouts, beauty queens, floats, classic/antique cars, motorcycles, super heroes, horses, floats and much more.

Manila Mayor Wayne Wagner served as emcee for the event. The streets were lined with spectators who had the opportunity to see Santa twice as he led the parade in a decorated airplane and then returned to finish the parade on the traditional float provided by Southern Bancorp.

Also participating in the parade were candidates Dave Wallace, Hunter Williams, Aaron Fleeman, Wes Wagner and Johnny Rye. Manila fire trucks and police vehicles were joined by neighboring firefighters and police departments.

The grand marshal for the parade was the Manila High School football team, cheerleaders and sponsors.
