Mary Kathryn EcElroy Yates

Mrs. Mary Kathryn McElroy Yates, 78, of Monette passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born March 4, 1937, in Mississippi County, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Ray and Lilly Murphy Fortson. Mrs. Yates was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed traveling and working in her beauty shop.

She is survived by two sons, Ronnie McElroy and wife Missy of Knoxville, Tenn., and Shann McElroy and wife Cathy of Monette; two grandchildren, Christopher McElroy and Heather McElroy; two stepgrandchildren, Greydon Williams and Leo Thompson; two stepdaughters, Rhonda Yates of Little Rock and Tracy Thompson of Monette; two sisters, Lillian Hanna of Waldren and Brenda Lyons of Waxahachie, Texas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Donald McElroy and Doyle Yates; one son, Rickie McElroy; two sisters, Billie Perew and Barbara Moore.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Faith Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Bro. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.

The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until service time Monday.
