Joyce Marie Brown
Joyce Marie Brown, 72 of Leachville, passed from this life Monday Nov. 16, 2015, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in the Buckeye community near Leachville she was the daughter of the late Willis and Eva Mae Wicker Philhours and was a 1961 graduate of Manila High School. Joyce was a lifelong area resident and longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Leachville.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Larry E. Brown of Leachville; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry O. and Kellye Brown of Manila; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and David Green of Blytheville; a brother, Jim Philhours of Jonesboro; two sisters,
Gail Newman and Faye Pittman both of Memphis. She also leaves her grandchildren; Nicholas and Heidi Cagle, Brooke Brown, Hunter and Kristen Brown, Ethan Green, and Lee Anne Green, and great-grandchildren, Whit Cagle, Jaylyn Cagle, Kamden Brown, and Claire Elizabeth Darnell.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. David Price officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Wednesday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be Larry O. Brown, Nicholas Cagle, Hunter Brown, David Green, Whit Cagle, and Ethan Green. Honorary pallbearers will include Kris Kelton, David Miller, Ronnie McFarland, Dickie Harris, James Thomas, and Cole Hawkins.
