Joys to celeberate golden wedding anniversary Oct. 18
Sharron and Howard Joy are celebrating 50 years of marriage on Oct. 16.
Sharron (originally Sharron Houston of Manila) served as the executive director of the Greene County Community Fund for more than 20 years and she also served the city of Paragould as an alderman.
Howard is a retired pharmacist and was owner of Garner Drugs and The Pharmacy.
The Joys moved to Paragould in 1976 and have been active members of their community.
They have one daughter, Shona Joy Covington, who lives in Cherokee Village with her husband Les and their only daughter, Joy.
A reception will be given in Sharron and Howard Joy's honor from 4:30-5:30 in the evening on Sunday, Oct. 18, at New Haven Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 2610 Barnhill Road, where Sharron and Howard are members.
Friends are invited to attend.
