Manila voters pass millage

Manila patrons passed a 4.7 mill new debt service increase from 37 mills to 41.7 mills. The additional millage will be used to help fund a new high school facility.

The votes were certified on Friday with 459 for and 229 against.

Manila District was awarded $14 million in partnership funding for the project which will pay for 70 percent of the project. The new mills will help repay the district's portion of the building project.
