Riders raised money for the Buffalo Island Relay for Life.

The Buffalo Island Relay for Life Southern Belles and Beaus team sponsored a poker run on Saturday, Aug. 29, with 25 bikes and 30 riders.

Prizes for the best and worst poker hands were given. After the 100 mile ride, starting and ending in Leachville, lunch was provided.

The first bike left the Melody Theater in Leachville at 9:30 a.m. The route took the riders to Jonesboro, Walcott, Dixie, Monette, and then back to Leachville, stopping at designated areas to check in and draw a card.

Best hand was drawn by Scotty Penix. Worst hand was drawn by Kenny Sikes. Mark Johnson won the 50/50 drawing.

Gift cards were won by Taylor Rouleau, Michael Rosamond and David Hall.

The event raised $500 to be donated to the Buffalo Island Relay for Life.

Southern Belles and Beaus Captain Teresa Edgin expressed her appreciation to all of the riders for taking part in the run, as well as volunteers for helping with the event.

At the end of the run, bikers enjoyed a barbecue meal served by Edgin and her team.
