Pictured with the 100+ year old quilt top are Diana Sanders, Ernestine Harrell, Janie Miller and Jerry "Chub" Qualls. The quilt top was made by Joyce Reed's grandmother Miller who passed away around 1926. The quilt will be included in the exhibit for the annual quilt show set for Sept. 26.

The annual quilt show at the Buffalo Island Museum in Monette will be held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. There is no entry fee.

Free admission to the quilt show includes a visitor's choice ballot for judging the best in several divisions including quilt of age (50 years or older); hand quilted, machine quilted, baby quilt, and art quilt. First, second, and third place ribbons will be awarded in each category.

Everyone who enters will have their name entered for a prize drawing.

Quilts must be delivered to the museum Wednesday, Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. or call (870) 838-5183 or 486-2000 to schedule a drop off time.

The quilts may be picked up at the close of the show or during regular museum hours, Friday and Saturday, 1-4 p.m.

If anyone wants to sell their quilt, information may be placed with the quilt.
