Manila, Buffalo Island Central and Riverside all enjoyed a measure of success on the golf course last week. Manila captured a five team match at Piggott Tuesday afternoon after finishing second to Corning Monday at the Big Lake Country Club. BIC defeated three other schools Monday afternoon at Thunder Bayou in Blytheville, while Riverside finished runner-up in a four team match Thursday at Turkey Mountain Golf Club in Horseshoe Bend.

Joel Burrow's 43 paced the Lions in their victory at the Sugar Creek Country Club Tuesday afternoon. Brock Birmingham and Burch Milano both carded 45s to help Manila to a 133 team score. Piggott placed second with a team total of 137 while Corning came in third with a score of 139. Rivercrest was fourth with a 142 total while Hoxie finished fifth, shooting a round of 188. Medalist honors were shared by Seth Robinson of Corning and Blaine Richardson from Rivercrest, who both carded 42s.

Corning edged Manila 138-140 in Monday's duel match at Big Lake Country Club. Seth Robinson fired a 41 and took medalist honors for the winning Bobcats. Brock Birmingham's 44 led the Lions, while Joel Burrow and Cade Cater both shot rounds of 48 for Manila.

Lady Lion Loren Davison fired a 60 Monday afternoon at Manila to claim medalist honors. Davison followed with a 59 Tuesday afternoon at Piggott, finishing third behind Lady Mohawk Ashley Vaughn, who took medalist honors with a round of 45.

BIC's Andrew McFarlin shared medalist honors with Armorel's Leyton Clark Monday at Blytheville. Both players posted three over par 39s to lead their teams. Dax Hurst carded a 42 while Andy Milligan shot a 47 as the Mustangs finished with a winning score of 128.

In girls' action, Emma Haskins fired a 53 to claim medalist honors for Armorel. Kenzie Walker paced the Lady Mustangs with a 56 while Ashley Field and Jona Carmichael shot rounds of 58 and 60 respectively.

Izard County outdistanced Riverside 137-154 to take a four team match Thursday afternoon at Horseshoe Bend. Three players tied for medalist honors, including Rebel Caden Barrett, who fired a 45. Izard County's Cody Workman and Dallas Farmer also finished the day with 45s.

In girls' play, Mikayla Kish fired a 48 to win medalist honors for Izard County. Lady Rebel Brittney Ditto shot a 58.
