Manila School Board fills positions

In a short special called meeting on Tuesday, June 9, Manila school board members accepted two resignations and filled several positions for the 2015-2016 school year.

Superintendent Pam Castor recommended the board accept the resignations of Keith McCann, bus driver, and Alesa Lea, high school art teacher.

The board unanimously accepted the resignations.

Board members present were Jeremy Jackson, Brandon Veach, Tracey Reinhart, Danny Robbins, Johnny McCain and Tommy Wagner. Dean Tucker was absent.

Castor then recommended hiring Rachel Churchill, school nurse; Kevin Youngblood, bus driver; Susan Youngblood, high school social studies teacher; Mehgan Brown, math teacher; Candace Dunigan, high school art teacher; Nicole Evers, dyslexia specialist; Brandon Bryant, paraprofessional, and Craig Wheeler, paraprofessional.

The board voted 6-0 in favor of each of the recommendations.
