Rebels, Mustangs post victories during holidays

Austin Pike pumped in 23 points while teammate Seth Eatmon chipped in 20 more, powering Buffalo Island Central to an 80-51 victory over Crowley's Ridge Academy in 2A-3 conference play Tuesday night at Paragould.

James Scott paced the Falcons, scoring 23 points.

In junior high action, BIC ran past CRA 57-31. Canon Walling led the Mustangs, scoring 20 points, while Andrew McFarlin added 18 more. Bennett Austin topped the Falcons with 16.

The Mustangs will return to action Tuesday night, playing host to Cross County in a 2A-3 conference matchup. BIC will begin play in the Hurricane Classic Thursday night at Jonesboro High School.

Riverside's Stone brothers combined for 53 points to lead the Rebels to an 82-66 victory over Maynard in the first round of the Williams Baptist College Tournament Saturday at Walnut Ridge.

Kollin Stone poured in 27 points while Gavin Stone added 26 as the Rebels attempt to defend the WBC Tournament title they captured a year ago. Luke Baker also hit double digits for Riverside, scoring 10 points.

Riverside will return to the hard court Tuesday night, hosting Rector in a 2A-3 conference game. The Rebels will continue WBC Tournament play later in the week.
