Jimmy Lee Cole, 53, of Black Oak, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at NEA Baptist Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born Feb. 7, 1961, in Leachville, he was the son of the late Harlis "Windy" Cole and had been a lifelong resident of northeast Arkansas. Raised in Leachville, Jimmy had been a Black Oak resident for over 20 years. He served 22 years in the Army National Guard and was currently employed by the City of Jonesboro. Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie Cole.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Dodd Cole of Black Oak; two sons and daughters-in-law, Heath and Kristen Cole of Fayetteville, Cameron and Kelli Cole of Trumann; one daughter and son-in-law, Shawna and Clayton Miller of Caraway; one stepson Lynyrd Brooks and wife, Gabby of Pocahontas; his mother, Betty Green Cole of Leachville; one sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Clarence Buckley of Black Oak; five grandchildren, Carter Cole, Jase Cole, Conner Grist, Madilynn Grist, Makennah Brooks; and his mother-in-law, Jerri Hutton.

Jimmy was also anxiously expecting a grandson and granddaughter.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
