Lady Rebels sweep past Maynard and Armorel

Riverside's Lady Rebels improved to 5-1 on the young season, outscoring Maynard 78-65 Monday night on the road before coming home to take care of Armorel 49-38 Friday night at Lake City.
Skylar Kauke and freshman Haven Robertson pumped in 18 points apiece in Riverside's win at Maynard. Gattlin Hale scored 12 points while Hattie Milligan chipped in 11 more as the Lady Rebels placed four players in double figures. Kauke and Hale added 12 and 10 rebounds respectively to complete double-doubles for Riverside. Milligan dished out six assists.
Jordan Weisenbach poured in a game high 30 points to lead the Lady Tigers. Breana Roberts and Brittanie Cline scored 12 and 11 points respectively for Maynard.
Riverside broke open a close game against Armorel, outscoring the Lady Tigers 18-4 in the second quarter to take a 27-10 halftime lead. Kauke and Milligan led Riverside, scoring 13 and 12 points respectively.
Tia Sellers led the Lady Tigers with 18 points.
In junior high action, Riverside defeated Maynard 45-35 behind Bailey Fisher's 16 points. The Lady Rebels (5-2) got 13 points from Carson Smith in Riverside's 48-18 win over Armorel.
Riverside will return to action Monday night with a home game against Gosnell. The Lady Rebels will end the week with a road trip Thursday night to Brookland.
