Vivian Ivah Sharp

Vivian Ivah Sharp, 91 of Caraway, passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born Jan. 22, 1923, at Golconda, Ill., to the late Thomas and Vertie Bogard Collier. Mrs. Vivian was a lifetime resident of Caraway and a member the Caraway Church of Christ. She was an avid sports fan and loved to play cards at the Senior Center.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Haag and husband Lynn of Caraway and Barbara Slayton of Auburn, Ga.; three sisters, Lanna Collier of Caraway, Velda Mann of Paragould and Zella Williams of Jonesboro; a brother, James Collier of Caraway; four grandchildren, Greg Haag, Ashley Sellers, Heather Layson and Shane Slayton; 12 great-grandchildren, Caroline Haag, Elizabeth Haag, Elizabeth Sellers, Zoe Sellers, Zach Sellers, Koby Sellers, Logan Layson, Emily Layson, Luke Layson, Aaleyah Layson, Cooper Slayton and Parker Slayton.

She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Thurman Miller and Faye Sharp; three siblings, Tommy Collier, Margaret Abernathy and Clara Barrett.

A graveside service to celebrate her life was 11 a.m. Monday at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with John Shadowens officiating under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home.

The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

Honorary pallbearers were Pauline Payne, Cliffee Gipson and Beulah Tyler and all of her Senior Citizen Center friends.
