Shawn Perrin, 48 of Jonesboro,formerly of Monette, passed away Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014. He was born April 21, 1966 in Peoria, Ill. He was a 1984 graduate of Monette High School. Shawn was a licensed paramedic and educational director with Medic One since 2004. He enjoyed arrowhead hunting and playing music. He will be remembered as a loving son, father, brother and grandfather.

He is survived by his mother, Judy Perrin of Monette; two sons, Jordan Perrin and Nathan Perrin, both of Bay; a sister, Shelley Lynn Perrin of Caraway; companion and best friend, Jody Gardner of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Presley Perrin, Cash Perrin, Daxton Perrin and Shaley Lynn.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Bupp Perrin, and his father, Frank Perrin.

A celebration of his life will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at Monette First Baptist Church with Rev. Shawn McElhannon and Rev. Arthur Phelps officiating. Burial will follow at Macey Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Cole Ashley, Joe Brinkley, Allen Dewitt, Brant Dowless, Brian Pruitt, Myron Davis, Jeff Qualls and David Newcom and as honorary pallbearers are Bobby Nettles and the staff of Medic One Ambulance.

Lasting memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.
