Riverside Rebels Maroon and Gray Day proclaimed by Mayors

"We take pride in Riverside's athletes and the program," Mayor Riley said.

"We want to support our teams, coaches and cheerleaders as well as the sponsors," Mayor Milligan said.

The mayors presented the proclamation to the newly elected Riverside Booster Club President Greg Smith and Vice President Blake Robertson.

The newly formed Riverside Booster Club is currently holding a membership drive and encourages all fans to join the boosters.

"Our goal is to support all of our teams and encourage them," Smith said.

Tables will be set up at the ball games giving people the opportunity to join the Riverside Booster Club.

The club will host a "Meet the Rebels" banquet at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, in the school cafeteria. All junior and senior high athletes will be honored along with all the Riverside coaches and their wives.

Tickets for the "Meet the Rebels" night are $5 for children 6-11; adults $10; and children under 5 free. There will be drawings for prizes throughout the evening.
