Dan Sullivan seeking House District Seat 53
Republican Dan Sullivan seeks to represent the citizens of House District 53 in the upcoming mid-term election on Nov. 4. House District 53 includes the communities of Brookland, Black Oak, Caraway, Lake City and Monette.
Dan and his wife, Maria, the former Maria Stewart of Monette, have been married 32 years and have a son, Matt, of Bentonville, and a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Eric Ojeda, of Dallas, Texas.
Sullivan spent over 20 years as an educator and administrator in public schools and for the past 10 years has served as an administrator for Ascent Children's Health Services. As current CEO for Ascent, he leads over 500 employees state-wide who serve approximately 900 children with developmental delays, ages six months to six years. Also, during this past year, Mr. Sullivan was appointed to the Board of the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce.
"Government leadership should champion opportunity, foster productivity and listen to the people for creative and innovative ideas," Sullivan said. "No one knows better how to grow the corridor of Northeast Arkansas than the citizens of Northeast Arkansas. Representation principles are simple: believe in the people you represent, listen to the people you represent, encourage the people to get involved in local community and school functions in order to develop a plan to solve issues. Finally, be a champion of the people's good judgment."
