Buffalo Island Central golfers completed a team sweep of both their matches last week. The Mustang boys won a five-team match Monday afternoon at the Big Lake Country Club in Manila before taking another five-team event Tuesday afternoon at the Trumann Country Club.

The Lady Mustangs won a three-team match Monday afternoon at the Big Lake Country Club over Armorel and Piggott, before edging Rivercrest Tuesday afternoon at Trumann in a four-team event.

BIC's Dax Hurst fired a 39 to share medalist honors with Armorel's Layton Clark in leading the Mustangs to victory Monday afternoon. Ryan Stuck and Hunter Costner both carded 43s as BIC finished with a winning score of 125.

Manila came in second 18 shots back of the Mustangs. Alex Richard shot a 44 to lead the Lions, followed by teammates Justin Bratton and Gage Owen, who carded rounds of 49 and 50 respectively.

Piggott finished third with a 147 total. Armorel came in fourth at 157 while Crowley's Ridge Academy finished fifth with a 185 team total.

The Lady Mustangs fired a 173 team total to outdistance Armorel by nine shots in their victory Monday afternoon in Manila. Ashley Field led the Lady Mustangs with a 55. Kensie Walker carded a 56 while Jona Carmichael recorded a 62.

Lunden Stallings fired a 49 for Armorel to capture medalist honors. Manila's Taylor Adams carded a 63.

Dax Hurst fired a three over par 39 on Tuesday in leading BIC to a 122 total, three shots better than runner-up Trumann. Hunter Costner shot a 41 while Ryan Stuck recorded a 42 for the Mustangs.

Ashley Field's medalist round of 44 helped lead the Lady Mustangs to victory in a tight match over Rivercrest.

BIC's boys came in fourth Aug. 13 at the Blazer Invitational Tournament played at the Ridgepoint Country Club in Jonesboro. Valley View won the event with a 328 team total in the 18-hole match.

Ryan Stuck led the Mustangs with a 92 while Evan Sanders and Dax Hurst posted scores of 95 and 96 respectively. Daniel Carmichael shot a 99, Andrew McFarlin posted a 101, Canon Walling recorded a 110, Miles Gifford shot a 118 while Trevor Couch came in with a 135 score.

In girls action, BIC finished second with a 340 score. Nettleton claimed top honors, firing a 293.

Kensie Walker led the Lady Mustangs with a 108. Ashley Field carded a 114 while Jona Carmichael posted a 118.

BIC won a four team match Aug. 11 at the Big Lake Country Club, posting a 128 team total to finish 19 shots better than runner-up Rector.

Dax Hurst fired an even par 36 to take home medalist honors in leading the Mustangs. Ryan Stuck carded a 45, Daniel Carmichael shot a 47 while Andrew McFarlin finished with a 48.

Riverside finished third, shooting a 154 team total, led by Larry Tilley's round of 49. Matthew Turner shot a 52 for the Rebels. Cannon Smith carded a 53 while Matthew Fraser completed his round with a 59.

Manila was fourth with a 155 team total, led by Alex Richard's round of 49. Gage Owen fired a 52, Joel Burrow shot a 54 while Burch Milano carded a 56.

In girls play, Kensie Walker fired a 52 to take medalist honors as BIC shot a 163 team total. Ashley Field carded a 53 while Jona Carmichael had a round of 58.

Taylor Adams shot a 57 for Manila while Brittany Ditto carded a 69 for Riverside.

Manila's boys downed Hoxie by 20 shots in golf action Tuesday afternoon at the Rolling Hills Country Club in Pocahontas. The Lions fired a 130 team total, led by Alex Richard's five-over round of 41. Joel Burrow shot a 44.

Riverside finished third in a five team match Thursday afternoon at the Sage Meadows Country Club in Jonesboro.

Marmaduke claimed the team title with a 143 score, three shots better than second place Rector's 146 team total.

Rector's Cade Scott came home with medalist honors, firing a round of 40. Larry Tilley led Riverside, shooting a 47, while Rebel teammates Matthew Fraser and Matthew Turner carded rounds of 53.
