Gamble seeks city council seat
Dan Gamble of Manila is announcing plans to run for city council Ward 2, Position 1.
"I decided to seek this office because I realize our wonderful town has come to a critical crossroad," Gamble said. "We have grown considerably these past years, and we have now reached a point where it is time for us to decide as a community what we want to become, where we want to go, and how we want to get there.
"I was born and raised in Manila. My sons were born and raised in Manila. I have been in business for over 20 years in Manila. I have served four years as the president of the Manila Cemetery Board. I am an active member of the Manila Lions Club. I have served for eight years on the board of directors of the Manila Industrial Committee. I care about Manila and I care about the people of Manila.
"While I have held no prior political office, I believe I am capable of representing the people of Manila and act in the best interest of the town and its bright future. Our mayor and the city council are working hard to make Manila a wonderful town. I, too, want Manila to be a town others will want to be a part of."
