Velma Green

Velma Green, 75, of Manila, died Thursday, June 26, 2014, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Dell, she was the daughter of the late Josh and Gertie Lowe Foster and had been a Manila resident for most of her life. She was a retired seamstress for the former Mid-South Footwear of Manila.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, David Randall Stone; two daughters, Janet Stone and Gloria Sanford; and her first husband, David Stone.

She is survived by three sisters, Glenda Johnson of Minturn, Wanda Turney of Siloam Springs, and Helen Potter of Walnut Ridge; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial service was 10 a.m. Saturday at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila. The family received visitors from 9 a.m. until service time.
