Clyde Arthur Cobbs

Clyde Arthur Cobbs, 76, of Cardwell, Mo., passed away June 8, 2014, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born May 9, 1938, in Leachville, he was the son of the late Robert and Minnie Bush Cobbs and was a United States Army veteran and a former truck driver. Mr. Cobbs was of the Baptist faith and loved dancing, listening to music and talking with friends.

He is survived by one son, Mark Cobbs of Cardwell, Mo.; one daughter, Julie Jackson and husband Ken of Paragould; one brother, Irvin Cobbs of Greers Ferry; one sister, Ruth Turner of Winthrop; one granddaughter, Amanda Rose Jackson. Mr. Cobbs also leaves a host of other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Bishop Cobbs; three brothers, Charles Cobbs, R.P. Cobbs and Boyd Cobbs; and one sister, Applerine Finley.

Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, at the First Church of God in Paragould with Rev. Kevin Edgar officiating. Burial will follow in the Cardwell Cemetery in Cardwell, Mo., under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila. Pallbearers will be Rodney Craft, Rick Curtwright, James Stone, Kenny Finley, Kenneth Taylor and Lonnie Holloway.
