Roland Greer

Roland Greer, 48, of Manila, died Sunday, May 25, 2014, near Monette. Born at Manila, he was a lifelong area resident and a 1984 graduate of Manila High School. He was a self employed contractor and was of the Baptist faith. Roland enjoyed hunting for arrow heads and marbles, fishing and Nascar.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Dickerson; two sisters, Tina Louise Greer and Shirley Diane Routh; one grandson, Chance Allen Greer, and his first wife, Michelle Rene Greer.

He is survived by his wife, Kristie McDowell Greer; his son, Nathan Greer; two daughters, Ashley Starkey and Brandy Greer; his mother, Mary Dickerson; two stepsons, Lee Hurley and Lynn Hurley; four stepdaughters, Abby Hurley, Alyssa Hurley, Kaylee Hurley and Kristian Hurley, all from Manila; two sisters, Mary Brown of Jonesboro and

Lovina Dickerson of Manila.

Funeral service was 2 p.m. Friday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila. Burial followed in the Manila Cemetery.

The family received visitors from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
