Riverside captures 2A-3 district track and field title
Riverside outscored Augusta 80-67 to take home the 2A-3 District Track and Field Championship Wednesday afternoon at Paragould.
Riverside's Victor Cerda was the boys high point winner, scoring 23.5 points, followed by teammate Braden Overman who scored 16.5 points. Cerda picked up victories in the long jump, 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash. Overman won the 110-meter hurdles. Other Rebel winners included Brandon Sain in the high jump and Kollin Stone who won the triple jump. Riverside also claimed the 4X100 meter relay event.
Marmaduke won the girls division, scoring a whopping 118.5 points. Augusta finished second while Buffalo Island Central and Riverside came in third and fourth respectively. BIC's Hannah Poe won first place in the 100-meter hurdles.
