Greers Ferry -- Darrell Jack Price, Sr., son of Albert Price and Walsie Henson Price, was born in London, Ark., on Feb. 26, 1944 ,and went home to be with his Lord on Feb. 17, 2014, at the age of 69 years at his home in Greers Ferry while surrounded by his family. Jack was a retired welding foreman for Southworth, Inc. of Manila and served in the National Guard. He enjoyed being an auxiliary policeman in Manila for many years. One of his greatest joys was attending his church, Lone Star Baptist Church of Greers Ferry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Billy Joe Price, and two sisters, Rudy Lasater and Mary Jane Price, all of Manila.

He is survived by a brother, Tommy Price of Saint Louis, Mo.; his wife of 36 years, Linda Evans Price of the home; and two sons, Darrell Jack Price, Jr. and Delana of West Point, Miss., and B.J. Northington of Fayetteville; daughter, Tammy Price of Manila; grandson, Jerred Price of Cordova, Tenn.; granddaughter, Lacey Brown of Manila; grandsons, Price, Peyton and Parker Northington of Fayetteville; great-granddaughters, Haley, Lana and Natalie Brown of Manila; his daughter-in-law, Melissa Northington, whom he considered a daughter; and his beloved mother-in-law, Maxine Evans of Blytheville. Jack will also be missed by many friends and other family members.

A visitation will be held held from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, and his life will be celebrated in a memorial service at 2 p.m., all at Lone Star Baptist Church, Greers Ferry, with Bro. Rondal Richardson officiating.
