Stella Ballard

Stella Ballard, 82, of Senath, Mo., died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at the Senath South Nursing Home. Born Sept. 18, 1931, in Batesville, she was the daughter of the late William and Effie Mae Hagwood Barnett. She was of the Assembly of God faith and loved cats, flowers, reading and cross-word puzzles.

She is survived by two sons, Terry Ballard and wife Joyce of Osceola, and Garry Ballard of Manila; three daughters, Susan Charles and husband Jack of Gosnell, Shirley Effinger and husband Roger of Tyler, Texas, and Vicki George of Gosnell; three brothers, Coy Barnett, Gene Barnett and Charles Barnett, all of Batesville. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, several great-grandhcildren and great-great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Ballard; three brothers, Roy Barnett, Jerry Barnett and Carl Barnett, and one sister, Theda Cornish.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Manila Cemetery with Bro. Charles Barnett officiating. Faith Funeral Service of Manila is in charge of arrangements.
