Lady Rebels maul Black Rock 76-12

Riverside destroyed Black Rock 76-12 in senior girls basketball action Thursday night at Caraway. The Lady Rebels bolted to a 32-3 lead after the first quarter and held a whopping 51-9 advantage at the half. Riverside led 61-12 entering the fourth period and held the visitors scoreless in the final frame.

Kenzley Wilson led four lady Rebels in double figures, scoring 14 points. Catlyn Sailor and Megan Davidson added 13 points apiece while Gattlin Hale finished with 12. Skylar Kauke scored nine, Anna Brickell had four, Chelsea Nichols tallied three while Jordan Miller, Lauren Smith and Madison Black added two points each.

In junior high action, Riverside thumped Black Rock 41-18. Haven Robertson poured in 20 points to lead the Lady Rebels. Hattie Milligan scored nine, Carson Smith tallied seven, Britany Kelems contributed three while Brittney Sain pitched in two points.

Riverside fell to Augusta 50-45 in a 2A-3 conference matchup Wednesday night at Lake City. The Lady Rebels led throughout most of the game, holding leads of 14-11 after the first quarter, 30-20 at the half and 38-32 after three periods of play. Augusta rallied in the final stanza, outscoring Riverside 18-7 for the come from behind victory.

Kenzley Wilson led the Lady Rebels with 23 points while Chelsea Nichols added 12, all on three pointers. Ashlyn Snyder scored four while Anna Brickell, Catlyn Sailor and Gattlin Hale all chipped in two points apiece. Riverside hit 14-21 free throws and nailed five treys.

Eshandria Gant led the Lady Red Devils with a game high 24 points. Augusta hit 13-17 foul shots and made five three pointers.

In junior high action, Riverside defeated Augusta 37-21. Haven Robertson led the Lady Rebels with 15 points. Hattie Milligan scored eight, Brittney Sain tallied seven, Britany Kelems had four, Morgan Booth contributed two while Carson Smith added one point.

Riverside returns to action Monday night, traveling to Rector to take on the Lady Cougars in a 2A-3 conference matchup. The Lady Rebels will close the week with a road trip to Augusta for another conference battle with the Lady Red Devils.
