Masons keep with the Christmas spirit

Members of Monette Masonic Lodge #558 delivered 60 large pre-cooked hams to families in Monette and Leachville on Saturday, Dec. 14, as part of their annual Christmas gift giving project.

Funding for the project was provided by personal donations from the Masonic Lodge members. Lodge representatives Randy Imler, Clyde Watson, Colin Miller, David McCoy, Tom Carroll and Michael Swindle personally delivered the hams from 8-11 a.m. Saturday morning.

The Monette Masons meet at 7 p.m. the first and third Tuesdays of each month at the Monette Lodge on North Edmonds Street.

A private installation of new 2014 Lodge officers will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 17. New officers include Worshipful Master, David McCoy; Senior Warden, Randy Imler; Junior Warden, Collin Miller; Secretary, Larry Bibb; Treasurer, Kenneth Worthy; Senior Deacon, Clyde Watson; Junior Deacon, Mike Swindle; Chaplain, Gene Gathright; Masters of Ceremonies, Lester Mullen and Bill Hetler; and Tyler, Bear Harrell.
