Michael Glen Estes

Mr. Michael Glen Estes, 67 of Manila, Ark., passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark. Born in Manitoba, Ill., he was the son of Virgil and Viola Wilson Estes and had been a longtime area resident. Mr. Estes was a United States Navy Veteran and worked as an electrician in maintenance. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, yard work, working on electronics, watching westerns and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Wanda Estes of the home; his mother, Viola Estes of Amarillo, Texas; seven daughters, Rhonda Estes of Brattleboro, Vermont, Crystal Tribble of Austin, Texas, Ursula Estes of Manila, Ark., Debora McClelland of Branson, Texas, Beverly Counts of Manila, Remanda Lawrence of Manila, and Stephanie Patil of Manila; four sons, David Hall of Leachville, Ark., Michael Estes of Houston, Texas, Brian Estes of Dickinson, Texas, and Shawn Brady of Manila; two brothers, Lee Estes and Gary Estes both of Amarillo, Texas, and three sisters, Donna Barney of Borger, Texas, Connie Hawn of Amarillo, Texas, and Marilyn Fretter of Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Estes also leaves 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Estes was preceded in death by his father Mr. Virgil Estes and one great-grandchild Amber Navarro.

Memorial services were held Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at 6 p.m. at the Faith Funeral Service Chapel.

The family requested a private service and disposition under the direction of Faith funeral Service of Manila, Ark.
