Paul Eugene Davie

Paul Eugene Davie, 70, of Monette, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013. He was born July 1, 1943, in McRea to the late Merle and Lula Elizabeth Davie. Mr. Davie served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a carpenter for over 40 years. He was a member of Mount Pleasant General Baptist Church, where he has served as superintendent. He loved to garden and fish.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Davie; two stepsons, Jackie Lawrence and Kenneth Lawrence, both of Monette; seven grandchildren, Joseph Lawrence (Amy) of Monette, Robert Lawrence (Mary) of Manila, Kevin Lawrence of Altus, Okla., J.R. Lawrence (Kim) of Monette, Scott Lawrence (Danielle) of Jonesboro, Robin Lawrence of Altus and Jamie Hill (Kevin) of Black Oak; a brother, Raymond Davie of Ward; nieces and nephew, Juanita, Loretta and Merle; and 16 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.
