Manila High School play cast

The Manila High School play, Zombie Wedding, by Jeff Lovett, will be performed at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, in the high school auditorium. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for students. The play is under the direction of Martha Lawrence and Jennifer Harper.

Ashley (played by Rachel Braden) has some wonderful news. She has finally met "the one" and can't wait to introduce him to her friends and family. She hastily calls her two best friends, Beth (played by Hannah McKaskle) and Summer (played by Heather Hollis), to arrange a lunch date for them to meet Bruce (played by Tanner Platz).

Ashley can hardly wait to announce she is getting married in just three days. Before Beth and Summer can object, Ashley's fiance enters the restaurant. Bruce may be the most wonderful man in the world, but he is also a zombie.

Ashley is marrying one of the walking dead. Beth and Summer say nothing as they try to keep from becoming part of the lunch menu.

Ashley reminds her friends of the wedding rehearsal and then heads off for more introductions. Will anyone survive the mayhem that follows? Will Ashley's friends somehow convince her that marrying a zombie is probably not the best way to start her new life?

Zombie Wedding is an action-filled play full of great physical comedy and outrageous makeup.

Other members of the cast include Lexie Brenton as Martha; Shaun Scoggins as The Colonel; Dustin Ogden as Tom; Taylor Teague as Marge; Courtney Scott as Claire; Michael Edwards as The Reverend; and Courtney Eldridge as The Waitress;

Haven Bohannan is the stage manager. Additional cast includes Alex Richard, Joey Croquart and Chandler Stovall. Alex Richard, Thomas Davis and Jonathan Carr are the stage assistance crew.
