Lake City High School Class of 1957 gathers

A gathering of the Lake City High School, Home of the Catfish, Class of 1957, was held Sunday, Sept. 8, at Ron's Catfish House in Jonesboro.

Thirteen class members attended the get-together. There was a lot of fun, laughs, and a lot of reminiscencing.

The "spur of the moment" get-together was planned as Jimmy and Carolyn Flynn of Arab, Ala., who were enroute to Branson, Mo., through Jonesboro for a family reunion.

Members who attended were Jimmy and Carolyn Flynn, Gilbert and Betty McDonald Foster of Jonesboro, Bobby and Mary Lou Brown Huffman of Paragould, Marty and Kay Bunch, Jimmie Brooks Taylor, Patsy Pack Cobb, Patsa Caldwell Ragsale, and Martha Carter, all of Lake City, and Patsy Riggs Hobbs from Paragould.

On Sept. 9, Jimmy Flynn, a retired Baptist preacher, spoke at Lunsford Baptist Church. Larry Owens in the pastor. Several class members attended this service.

"It was a wonderful weekend to spend with friends," Patsa Ragsdale said.
