Arkansas Northeastern College is offering A Parenting Class

Arkansas Northeastern College Department of Community Education will host two evenings for all parents, Aug. 6 and 8, from 6-7 p.m. at the Blytheville Public Library conference room. The cost is $5 per adult.

The presenter is Sandy Bos. She has been a child care giver and teacher for over 20 years, in addition to being a parent and grandparent. Join her for an opportunity to share practical parenting skills to guide children toward responsible behavior.

"How to" topics include: connect and correct, empathize, reward with time, encourage their interests and efforts, and turn mistakes into learning. Bring a pen and paper to note practical insights for turning children's unacceptable behavior into more acceptable and cooperative behavior.
