Letha Claire Cornish Whited, 79, of Monette died Friday, July 12, 2013, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Letha was born to Lula and John Cornish on Aug. 28, 1933, in Monette. She was a nurse and mom and extremely proud grandmother. Letha was a lifetime member of Mt. Pleasant General Baptist Church and retired from St. Bernard's Hospital.

She is survived by her children, Danny Whited and wife Deborah of Jonesboro, Joanne Whited Branscum and husband Troy of Jonesboro, Elizabeth Whited Thompson and husband Rusty of Monette, daughter-in-law Debra Wallace Whited of Monette; five grandchildren, Josh Whited, Meagan Whited, Allison Whited, Micah Thompson and Julie Thompson; three sisters, Lela Riley, Lula Toots Lang and Ollie Emerick; one brother, Clarence Cornish, and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Whited; a son, Roy M. Whited; grandsons, Zach Whited and Seth Whited; a brother, Ernest Cornish; three sisters, Myrna Rapert, Love Lang and Jewel Blasingame.

Pallbearers were Josh Whited, Allie Whited, Meagan Whited, Micah Thompson and Julie Thompson. Honorary pallbearers were nieces and nephews.
