Bobby Acord was the winner of the $25 first place prize give away at the Father's Day breakfast.

A special breakfast was held at the Manila Senior Citizen Center Friday morning in recognition of Father's Day. Over 50 were in attendance.

Fathers were honored and drawings were held for door prizes just for the men. Bobby Acord won first place; Tommy Towles, second; Ray Boone, third; and Ralph Hunter, fourth.

"We appreciate all of our seniors," Carol Yarbro, activity leader, said. "We had a lot of volunteers to help with the breakfast."

Among the guests were Tracey Reinhart and Mayor Wayne Wagner.

The breakfast was followed with bingo games, and a chili hot dog luncheon.

Mississippi County Judge Randy Carney joined Mayor Wagner and the senior citizens luncheon.

In addition to celebrating Fathers Day, Councilwoman Linda Donovan was recognized on her birthday. Donovan was instrumental helping get the center in Manila and continues to work for the success of the day to day activities.
