Buffalo Island Central Board hires superintendent

Tuesday, May 14, 2013

Members of the Buffalo Island Central School board met Monday, May 6, to interview candidates for the position of superintendent.

Superintendent George Edd Holland announced earlier in the year his plans to retire at the end of the 2012-2013 school year.

The board interviewed Randy Rose (BIC high school principal) and Gaylon Taylor (retired).

Following the interviews, the board went into closed session reconvening at 10:30 p.m.

Board member Jason Stewart moved to hire Taylor as superintendent, seconded by Darrin McFall. The motion carried 7-0.
