Riverside High School to hold Blood Drive

Tuesday, April 30, 2013

Riverside High School will hold a blood drive from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the high school. The event is sponsored by the Riverside High School Student Council. This will be Riverside's third, and final, blood drive for the school year.

The Red Cross offers a scholarship for school blood drives. Every donation means more money for scholarships for the RHS Class of 2013.

They will be taking regular and double red donations.

Students who are 16 years old can donate with a signed parent consent form available in the RHS office and on the day of the blood drive.

People over the age of 17 can donate.

Participants are welcome to drop in when the time is convenient during the hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or call the Red Cross Donor Center to make an appointment at 1-866-236-3276.

The public is invited and encouraged to donate, regardless of where they live. Riverside High School is located at 2007 Highway 18, Lake City.
