Tillie "Essie" Norman

Mrs. Tillie "Essie" Norman, 88, of St. Charles, Mo., former Leachville resident and widow of Mr. Delmar Norman, passed from this life Friday April 12, 2013, at the Park Lane Care Center in Wentzville, Mo. Born at Powe, Mo., she was the daughter of the late John C. and Rosa Mae Davis and was raised in the Leachville area. She had lived much of her life in St. Charles, Mo., and Lapeer, Mich., and was a member of the Evangel Temple Church.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons, three sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Norman of St. Charles, Mo., and Dale Norman of Lapeer, Mich,; two brothers, Jim Davis of Hemet, Calif., and Bud Davis of Brookland; two sisters, Duxie Statler of Leachville and Len Burge of Tulsa, Okla. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Tom Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
