April is clean-up month in Manila

Manila Mayor Wayne Wagner and council members approved the month of April as clean-up month.

Manila residents can take their unwanted items to the Manila transfer station, located off Olympia Street, at no charge during the month or place items by the street.

City workers will pick up large items placed by the street at no charge.

EPA will not allow the city to accept tires, batteries, shingles, paint or anything with Freon.

Manila Mayor Wagner encourages all citizens to take advantage of the opportunity to clean-up and get rid of unwanted items.

"We want to help our citizens with the clean-up by picking up their unwanted items," Mayor Wagner said.
