They enjoy gathering and getting to know their neighbors. Bingo and potluck are held every Thursday. An Easter bonnet contest was added and the group enjoyed creating and showing off their creativity.

Judges were Brenda Matheny and Francis Lancaster.

Winners were: third place, Malda "Bubbles" Garrison; second place, Alice Bowden; and first place, Linda Matthews. Linda is the newcomer to Christopher Homes as she moved to Monette two months ago.

Winning in the men's division was Sonny McDole.

"We appreciate the community support," Brenda Laffoon said. "Leachville and Monette Dollar General stores donate prizes for our bingo games and other activities."

Christopher Homes Manager Mark Prince expressed his appreciation to the community and the residents.

"The get-together every week helps them get to know their neighbors, share their great cooking abilities, and have a good time," Prince said. "They also have a birthday celebration once a month for everyone with birthdays during the month. Brenda Laffoon, a resident, is a great idea person. She is instrumental in planning the activities."

"We are like a big family here," Laffoon said.
