4-H Riding club organized

The Mississippi County 4-H Horse Shoes Riding Club held its first meeting Saturday, Feb. 16, at Carousel Farm south of Blytheville. Eight 4-Hers from various parts of the county joined the club, which will begin preparing to enter events in the Arkansas 4-H Delta District Horse Show, to take place June 25 in Searcy.

Officers for the new riding club are: president, Shaila Allmon; first vice president, Kayla Allmon; second vice president, Hannah Yost; third vice president, Shelby Simpson; fourth vice president, Sunney Winstead; secretary, Leah Williams; treasurer, Hannah Hickox; and reporter, Barrett Crocker.

The club will hold its next meeting at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at Carousel Farm. For more information about the 4-H program, call County Agent Torya Fields at the Mississippi County Cooperative Extension Service, 870-762-2075.
