Riverside Student Council is sponsoring a blood drive for the Red Cross in the high school library on Friday, Feb. 22 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Community members are invited to donate blood. The Red Cross provides scholarships for graduating seniors based on units collected, so more donations means more scholarship money for students.

Commodity Distribution

A commodity distribution for Craighead County is scheduled for 9 a.m. until noon (or until food supplies are gone) Wednesday, Feb. 20. The distribution will take place at the Parker Community Center located at 1522 North Church Street, Jonesboro, and Caraway Housing Authority 325 Missouri Street, Caraway. In case of inclement weather, commodities will be rescheduled for a later date.

Revival set at Milligan Ridge Baptist Church

Revival at Milligan Ridge Baptist

A revival at Milligan Ridge Baptist Church will be held Feb. 25 through March 1. Services will begin at 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Jerry Jolly will be the evangelist.

Riverside collecting for Polar Plunge

Riverside High School Student Council is sponsoring a school-wide team for the Polar Plunge in Sat, Feb 23 to benefit the Special Olympics. It will be held at the pool at the Jonesboro Elks Lodge.

To raise funds, the RHS Student Council held Penny Wars between the grades and sponsored hat days.

If anyone in the community would like to help sponsor the school team, please contact Kim Scarbrough at RHS (237-4238) by Thursday, Feb. 21 to make a donation.
