Regina Ballard selected as employee of the year

Regina Ballard selected employee of the year at Monette Manor.

The employee of the year is chosen by supervisors from a list of the monthly employees chosen throughout the year.

Regina and her husband Scott live in Leachville. She has been with Monette Manor for 10 years.

She was presented the award in December and received a plaque and a gift.

She enjoys spending time with her family, going to ballgames, and going to the lake. The Ballards have a daughter, Kim Tomblin, who is married to Michael, and a son, Brandon. Grandchildren are Eli, 4, and Jude, 8 months.

Mrs. Ballard said Monette Manor is a great home.

"My co-workers are like my family," she said. "Marla Layne (administrator) is a great boss to work for. Rick Sampson, owner, is great to get us what we need to make the home better for our residents and staff. I could not do my job without my dietary staff. They are great workers. I can always depend on them for anything I need. The main thing I love about my job is the residents. They all are so fun to be around and you can learn so many things from them. I just feel blessed to be part of Monette Manor."
