Emily Cook scorched the nets for 31 points to lead the state's fourth ranked Lady Lions to a 69-50 win over Earle Monday night in 3A-3 conference action at Earle.
Cook, who buried five treys on the night, led four Manila players in double figures. Kirsten Adcock scored 13 points while Shelby Wallace and Taylor Teague added 10 points apiece. Devin Burrow tallied three while Kristen Wise added two points. The Lady Lions hit 23-37 foul shots and nailed six treys on the night.
Felicia Gibbs led the Lady Bulldogs with 19 points while Kayla Pope added 10.
Manila led 16-12 after the first quarter, 35-22 at the half and 50-29 entering the fourth period.
In junior high action, Earle defeated the Lady Lions 38-31. Aundrea Allen led the Lady Bulldogs with 18 points while Benesha Price added 10.
Lauren Woody paced Manila with 13 points. Jordyn Wheeler scored seven, Sarah Pentecost tallied five, Taylor Harmon netted three, Kaitynn Boatman tallied two while Shae Kulin added one point.
Manila will take on Osceola Monday night in 3A-3 conference play at home. The Lady Lions have an open date Thursday night.
