Monette lighting winners told

The Monette City Beautification Committee announced commercial and residential Christmas Lighting Winners on December 20, 2012.

Commercial winners included: Monette Discount Drug, first place; Liberty Bank of Arkansas, second place, Greenway Equipment Company, third place; and Honorable Mention, Johnny Dunigan Office and Monette Manor.

Residential winners include: Mike and Karen Wallace, first place; Dennis and Pam Holden, second place; Gena Alberda, third place; and Honorable Mention were homes of Rocky Qualls, Chris Rolland, and Chris Vaught.

The Door Decoration winner was the home of Bob and Doris Blankenship, with second place Frank and Val Smithee, and third was Mike and Cindy Hatch. Honorable Mention included Christopher Homes and Tommy and Bertha Ray.

Monette Mayor Chub Qualls expressed his appreciation for the large Thank You Card that was presented to the city by the BIC West Mustang Student Government members.
